Nassau County Department of Social Services

Nassau County Dept. of Social Services and Tender Nest Child Care have an agreement  to accommodate families when “subsidies” are required, offering quality child care for all children.

FunShine Express Curriculum

A monthly curriculum for children two years and older that has been developed applying current research and sound educational principals.  A phonetic reading program is presented in addition to this extraordinary curriculum.

Family Child Care Association of New York State (FCCANYS)

Founded in 1975, the association supports family child care programs and associations statewide forging a united voice that promotes provider professionalism leading to quality child care.

Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS)

Our licensing authority that initiates “unannounced visits” and assures regulatory compliance for all licensed Child Care programs in the state of New York.

American Red Cross

Specific training for health and safety that includes Infant, Child and
Adult CPR, first aid and more.

Hi-Hello Training Institute

Offers continuing education for providers that includes professional development and mandated state training in all required categories.

Child Care Council of Nassau

In association with Tender Nest Child Care the Council advocates for children, parents and providers, offers classroom and on-site training, professional development and referrals.  The Council also provides oversight and administration of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) supporting nutritious meals for children that is regulated by the United States Department of Agriculture. The Council has attained Quality Assurance Certification establishing it as one of the nation’s leading Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies (NACCRRA).

QualityStarsNY

The development of a state-wide child care rating system for all programs operating in New York.  Tender Nest Child Care was selected as a field test participant by this authority and is currently working to achieve an initial rating by this authority.
